Les Ba’get (Oak Forest)

Like nothing ever happened...only took a year, but they are back up and in soft opening stage.  Beef Pho has changed, no more Filet Mignon meat and everything else seemed super fatty.  I think the honeymoon is over, but I still think it’s a great option for Vietnamese food.

I haven’t been back here since they opened and man, food is expensive for lunch.  The it quality seems high, excellent choice for healthy food eaters...still mostly women patrons.

I loved it, it was great!  My first time and 2 friends with kids also joined and they agreed, all loved it!  I just wished we hadn’t had to leave.  We were not quite prepared.  Though they had 2 food trucks, looked like everyone else brought food and picnicked.  Super fun, $20 per person, but really experience. Y most favorite part seeing my 2.5 year old picking fruit, we all really loved the experience!  I would highly recommend.

Really I stopped in because I saw these super adorable succulents.   The guy at the cashier says, we do sell those, but we actually sell food...made me laugh actually, and I decided to take a look, everything really just appealed to my simple design senses.  The food looked great, I got the Chicken w/ Apple & Pecans, which was nice and clean.  The chocolate chewy cookie he let me try was delicious, in a healthy way.  So super cute, love this place!  And I purchased 2 succulents and my bill came out to almost $100, yikes!  One of the succulents was $55 in a glass casing, expensive but I couldn’t resist.  I had a home just in mind for this one. The other itty bitty one was $22, so between the 2 plants that was most of it.  Great place, I love it!

First time, can you believe?  Well, at this location.  I had been when the owner was ina cart on Westheimer.  Super cool guy, very nice and personable.  Very chic inside, and my Nutella and Strawberry crepe was nice.

I like revisiting places I kind of had written off.  Kraftsmen is one of those places.  I’m really loving the building, especially after I had visited one of the businesses in it’s office spaces.  Today back at Kraftsmen, I’m definitely feeling their vibe.  Menu seems better too, 2 tacos and coffee for $10...I’m really liking those prices.  Super comfortable inside, I could sit around awhile.  I think they need to umph up the section with the long bench, and staff was kind of so so, but overall very nice atmosphere.
