Lights in the Heights 2019

LITH is always a great holiday event but this year, I just wasn’t feeling it. Maybe because we were trying to zip through it all. Might this be my last one, probably not. I’ll be refreshed next year and will probably go and enjoy it that time. We’ll see…

Holiday Floral Recreation

Adjustments.jpeg

My recreation of the holiday floral I saw at Relish, it’s not bad if I say so myself. Well, sort of, I picked the pieces and Central Market put it together, very nice, I like it! Another arrangement on display, very pretty, $125.

Relish’s Eye-Catchers

The Kale Salad add chicken and the Salmon Citrus Salad were great picks, hit the spot for both of us. The presentation is great! Portions big! Price a little up there. I thought these Christmas flower arrangements we're quite pretty. And these beauties…also in the Christmas spirit!

Golden Bagel for Kids

A new favorite thing to do for me and the boys is finding a new breakfast spot that we all can enjoy a nice little breakfast. This week was Golden Bagel. I wasn’t quite sure if the boys would like the bagel thing so this was a bit of a wild shot but it turned out ok! Liam got the Blueberry muffin and I got Miles the Cranberry Walnut. I know Liam doesn’t look very happy here, but he was enjoying his muffin. He did try my bagel and wasn’t crazy about it, probably the cream cheese he wasn’t a fan of. I did try their breakfast bagel which I thought was really good, but i wasn’t really trying to spend $11 for my breakfast, so I just got an everything bagel with low fast cream cheese, which is less than $4. Also, not very crowded, which is good when you have 2 little little ones and not quite sure what their mood is going to be. Anyway, it was a good, slow, spot. This is definitely one we can put on the rotation.

Thai Street Food

Interestingly enough I’m being reintroduced to this place by someone I introduced to this place to years ago. This business has changed 3 times since, but it’s a good set up now, food good, owner good, all good! 👍🏻👍🏻

Superica for Kids

Great options for kids and they’re all superica nice to kids… They ran out of Popsicles so substituted with the chocolate custard cake, which Liam loved and didn’t get past the whip cream. 😆
